Plastic lidded barrel Speidel 60 liters In addition to the right fruit and a good recipe, the barrel plays the most important role. Not only does it have to be dense, it also has to preserve the aroma and bouquet for many months. Above all, however, it has to keep away harmful bacteria that can penetrate through the air and barrel material. The more airtight the barrel, the better the must.
We only use uncolored, food-safe PE plastic for our cider barrels. The particularly thick walls preserve the aroma and alcohol and keep the must fresh and tangy for a long time (in contrast to thin-walled cheap barrels). The large filling dome enables thorough cleaning by hand right into the furthest corners.
